Bachelor's at Biological Science from Universidade de São Paulo (1982), master's at Botany from Universidade de São Paulo (1989) and doctorate at Botany from Universidade de São Paulo (1998). Has experience in Botany, focusing on Vegetal Physiology, acting on the following subjects: plant tissue culture, propagation, yams, tuberization, carbohydrate and starch. Participates in the program for post-graduate of the Institute of Botany (Secretariat of Environment of São Paulo) - Plant Biodiversity and Environment and minister courses of Biosafety (BMA 01) and Techniques and In Vitro Propagation of Tropical Plants (BMA 05).
