Edna Aparecida Leick

Graduated in Biological Sciences from Universidade São Judas Tadeu (1984), Master's in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the Federal University of São Paulo (1996) and PhD in Sciences (Experimental Physiopathology) from the University of São Paulo (2002). Biologist and researcher (hired as a Laboratory Specialist) at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. Experience in Pulmonary Histopathology and Physiology, with emphasis on Respiratory Physiology, working mainly on the following topics: airways, inflammatory mediators, leukotrienes, nitric oxide, stress, lung remodeling, proteinase inhibitors, melatonin, asthma, COPD and ACO, which results in several publications with a good impact factor in the international scientific community. Scientific Initiation Advisor accredited in the PIBIC program (ref. process 121995/2009-7) at FMUSP. Master's and Doctoral advisor accredited in the Medical Sciences program [Area: Inflammatory and Allergic Processes], at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. I supervise, as well as analyze the results, discuss and prepare manuscripts for several research projects, including a Regular Research Support Project funded by FAPESP. I am also responsible for preparing scientific reports and rendering accounts sent to FAPESP in several projects, even those that are not officially mine.
