Luiz Carlos Morrone

Luiz Carlos Morrone was born on May the 07 th, 1944. Graduated a physician by Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa - SP (FCMSC-SP) in 1969. Master in 1979 and PhD in 1997, both degrees obtained in Public Health College of São Paulo University (FPHSPU). Adjunct Professor from the Social Medicine Departament of FCMSCSP since 2001, where he is responsible for the Occupational Medicine area. In this activity he coordinates the Occupational Medicine Discipline course with 80 hours duration which is given to the third-year undergraduate Medical Student. He also coordinates the Occupational Medicine Specialization Course with duration of 690 hours. Teaching body member of the Mastership Collective Health course of FCMSC-SP where he teaches the General and Occupational Environment and Health course. In Santa Casa Hospital (SCSPH), he coordinates the Occupational Medicine Residence Program. He is also the physician responsible for the Occupational Diseases Attendance that is connected to Clinical Medicine Department. He has expertise in Occupational Medicine, acting on the following areas: work, health, occupational medicine, occupational risks and worker. From 1999 to 2005, actuated in the coordination of two pilot projects of Occupational Health program for state public workers. Both projects were useful for evaluating and criticizing the methodology used in the medical inspections carried out for state public workers. Member of Occupation Medicine Advisory Board of São Paulo State Medicine Regional Council. He is now the Scientific Director of the association of Occupational Physicians of São Paulo State.
