Bachelor's degree in Physics - National University of Engineering, Lima, Peru (1983), Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering - National University of Engineering, Lima, Peru (1988), and PhD in Materials Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul -Rio Grande do Sul-Brazil (1993), in the field of corrosion and finite difference numerical simulation. Postdoctoral studies at the Federal University of São Carlos-São Paulo-Brazil, in the field of solidification and casting, welding, and finite difference numerical simulation. Postdoctoral studies at the State University of Campinas-UNICAMP, developing the topic of finite element numerical simulation of leakage, solidification, and thermal stress in aluminum alloys and laser remelting in metal alloys. Currently an associate professor at the State University of Ponta Grossa-Paraná-Brazil, teaching differential and integral calculus, numerical calculus, ordinary and partial differential equations in materials, civil, and computer engineering, and applied mathematics. Researcher in the field of Materials and Mechanical Engineering. Works in casting, corrosion, characterization by SEM, Atomic Force Microscopy, low-angle X-rays, microhardness, and Raman. In Numerical Simulation, research on the following topics: finite elements in the area of casting, solidification (metal and polymer alloys), laser remelting, corrosion, fluid mechanics, stress-strain in dental prostheses, plasma, and multigrid optimization.
