Alexandre Nunes de Almeida is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Administration and Sociology of the "Luiz de Queiroz" School of Agriculture of the University of São Paulo (ESALQ / USP), where he teaches courses in the area of introduction to macroeconomics (undergraduate) and economics of natural resources and environment (undergraduate and graduate). Its main line of research includes consumer economics, labor market, environment and agricultural development. He also has experience with the use of LSMS-World Bank micro-data, POFs and PNADs of IBGE, and quantitative methods with emphasis on applied non-parametric and semiparametric econometrics. He is currently deputy coordinator of the postgraduate program in Applied Economics at ESALQ / USP. He is a member of several national and international associations and serves as a guest researcher with the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Connecticut (UConn), USA, which involves a network of alumni coordinated by prof.
