Sandra Sandri obtained a degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (1980) in Brazil, a MSc in Applied Computer Science from the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (1985) in Brazil, and a PhD in Informatics from Toulouse III University (Paul Sabatier) (1991) in France. She started to work at INPE in 1982, where she retired as a senior researcher in 2017. She has experience in Computer Science, focusing on Computer Systems, and her main research interests lie in Approximate Reasoning themes such as Fuzzy Sets Theory and Possibility Theory.
