Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Genetics at ESALQ, University of São Paulo, Brazil, working in projects of biotechnology and functional genomics, since 1993.Gratuated at Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz at the Univerisity of São Paulo, SP, Brazil (1984). PhD in Genetics in the University of Sheffield, UK (1989).Worked as an associated researcher in the Forests genome project at the University of São Paulo. Has experience in genetics, particularly, molecular genetics and microbiology, acting mainly in the following fields: biotechnology, bioinformatics, genetic transformation and expression in microorganisms and plants, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics and mass spectrometry. Works at the Laboratório Max Feffer de Genética de Plantas, Esalq, University of São Paulo, with plant biotechnology, using tobacco as a plant model system, with emphasis for eucalyptus and sugarcane, related to biotechnology Responsable for preparing documentation for bioensurance reports and license for OGMs. Experience in personnel and projects management, in parternership with companies.
