Edson Pinheiro Pimentel

Doctor in Electronic and Computer Engineering from ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (2006) and Master in Computer Science from UPM - Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (1996). Graduated in Data Processing Technology at UEM - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (1989) with complementation in Special Formation of the High School Curriculum by UPM - Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (1992). He has been teaching in Higher Education since 1994 and is currently an Associate Professor at UFABC-Federal University of ABC. The central research axis is Computer in Education having as main themes of interest: Intelligent Systems for Education, Assessment and Monitoring of Learning, Processes for the development of Learning Objects, Knowledge Representation, Assistive Technologies in Education, Data Mining, Learning Analytics, Computational Thinking and Teaching Algorithms.
