He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1982), a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1988) and a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1999). He was Dean of Administration at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas from February 2010 to February 2020. He is currently Professor of the School of Computer Engineering-CEATEC of the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas and Assistant Professor of the Computer Institute of the State University of Campinas. He has experience in Engineering and Computer Science, with emphasis on Computer Architecture, working mainly on the following topics: executable code compression, vhdl, digital systems design, computer systems architecture.
