Ph.D. in Epidemiology and One Health from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at the University of São Paulo (USP). Holds a Masters degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from UNICAMP and a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences (Licentiate and Bachelor) from UNESP, São José do Rio Preto campus. During undergraduate studies, conducted a scientific initiation project focused on the cytogenetics of triatomines and completed an internship in Molecular Biology and Virology in the field of infectious diseases at FAMERP, where he worked with the NS4B protein of the dengue virus, aiming to identify new targets for research and antiviral therapies. In the masters program, worked on the serological, molecular detection and characterization of avian Paramyxovirus type 1 (Class I and II) in wild and synanthropic birds. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Clinical and Molecular Virology (LVCM), working with SARS-CoV-2 NGS sequencing in the Corona-ômica and PREVIR projects, both part of the Brazilian MCTI Virus Network. Also served as a scientific advisor at the Laboratory of Applied Preventive Medicine (LMVPA), contributing to the development of diagnostic tools to combat avian influenza virus.
