Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos (EESC)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I was part of the first class of the Materials and Manufacturing Engineering course at the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC-USP) (2015). As an undergraduate student, I carried out a 6-month academic exchange at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN, USA) (2013), where I worked as research assistant in a project focused on ultra-high temperature ceramics. As an undergraduate researcher, I conducted projects about functionally graded ceramic materials and friction stir welding of magnesium alloys. I received my degree of Doctor of Science in Materials from the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering of the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC-USP) (2020), with my thesis focused on thermomechanical processing and advanced characterization of titanium alloys. During my doctorate, I did a sandwich internship at the Universität des Saarlandes (Saarbrücken, Germany) (2018-2019). Currently, I work as specialist in the Materials area of SENAI CIMATEC, associated to the SENAI Innovation Institute for Forming and Joining of Materials. I have experience with light alloys, advanced high strength steels, metals processing (thermomechanical processing, welding, stamping, casting, additive manufacturing), thermodynamic simulations, thermomechanical simulations using the Gleeble platform and microstructural characterization by electron microscopy, EBSD, and both conventional and synchrotron X-ray diffraction.
