I am a biologist from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), with a Master's degree and currently a Ph.D. student in Biodiversity and Nature Conservation at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). I am a member of the Laboratory of Evolutionary Ecology of Amphibians (LECEAN-UFJF), where I focus on using anuran amphibians from the Atlantic Forest as model animals to investigate biological diversity and evolution. My research aims to understand the adaptive mechanisms in the evolution of communication in Neotropical anurans. Currently, I am studying the reproductive behavior and territoriality of Hylodes perere (Anura: Hylodidae). I am also a science teacher in a municipal school of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais state, Brazil. email: rubensturin@yahoo.com (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
