The aim of this proposal is the preparation, characterization and the reactivity tests of nanoparticulated catalysts for direct ethanol fuel cell based in the system Pt-M1-M2 (M1 and M2 = Ir, Ru, Os). (AU)

Herbert Duchatsch Johansen. Born in Bauru, SP, Brazil, he is a Chemist (Technological) graduated from the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos, University of São Paulo. Winner of the Lavoisier Prize, from the Regional Council of Chemistry-IV Region, as the best student in his course, he is Professor and Leader of the Electrochemistry and Corrosion Group. Doctor in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (Brazil), in a joint venture with the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He has experience in the field of Chemistry, with emphasis on Physical Chemistry, Electrochemistry and Corrosion, having participated in congresses in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Germany and Sweden.
