Rafael Battisti

Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria, master's and doctorate in Agricultural Systems Engineering from ESALQ/USP, Piracicaba, SP, with intership at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA, in which the thesis received the award for best thesis CAPES 2017. Develops research projects in the area of Agrometeorology and Agronomy, with emphasis on crop models, yield gap and management for increasing the productive potential and reducing climate risk for agricultural crops, mainly for the Cerrado biome. He is currently an Adjunct Professor (C-3), researcher in agrometeorology and modeling and permanent professor at the PPG in Agronomy (Concept 5 - CAPES) at the Agronomy School of the Federal University of Goiás. He serves as associate editor for Agricultural Sciences at Bioscience Journal and secretary of the Brazilian Society of Agrometeorology (SBAGRO). At the international level he acted as co-coordinator of The Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AGMIP) - Soybean Team and collaborator on the Global Yield Gap Atlas for soybeans in Brazil.
