Fernando Menezes de Almeida Filho

Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (1998), specialization in Structural Engineering from the University of Fortaleza (2000), Master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of São Paulo - SET/EESC/USP (2002), Ph. Structures at the University of São Paulo - SET/EESC/USP (2006) and postdoctoral degree in Structural Engineering at the University of São Paulo - SET/EESC/USP (2010). He was an engineer at the NETPre laboratory - Center for Studies and Technology in Precast Concrete at UFSCar from 2009 to 2011, performing various testing activities, research and extension projects. He is professor of civil engineering at the Federal University of São Carlos with an emphasis on Concrete Structures. He was Head of the Department in the period 2021-2023. He supervised several TCC, scientific initiation, master's and doctoral research, mainly on the following topics: Structures in reinforced and prestressed concrete, experimental analysis, building design, steel-concrete adhesion, bridge structures, structure of tall buildings and numerical simulations.
