Birthplace: Brazil

I'm a geographer with a Ph.D. in Geography, specializing in urban management, territorial planning, and low-carbon mobility. I conducted postdoctoral research (2019-2021) at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, where I served as a lead researcher on projects related to tactical urbanism and active mobility in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, with funding from the Swiss Confederation's Excellence Scholarships program. During this postdoctoral experience, I also contributed to the cartographic component of projects on urban governance and digital citizen participation in Swiss cities. Additionally, I was part of the editorial team for the French journal EspacesTemps.net as a member of the technical editorial board. I hold a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with research funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and a doctoral internship at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) in Canada. After completing my Ph.D. in 2017, I worked for two years as a researcher at UQÀM on the project "Implications socio-spatiales de la ville-événement: Le cas de Rio de Janeiro." My current professional experience includes working as a low-carbon mobility consultant and sustainable mobility project manager at the Centre de gestion des déplacements métropolitains de Montréal (CGDM) in Canada since 2022. In parallel, I collaborate on the "Urban Pedagogy" University Extension Project at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). In my teaching career, I was a substitute professor in the Geography Department at the State University of Ceará (UECE) from 2009 to 2013 and also taught in the Geography program at the Regional University of Cariri (URCA) from 2011 to 2012. I directed the Association of Brazilian Geographers (AGB) Fortaleza Section from 2010 to 2012 and was involved in various movements for the right to the city and in cycling activist collectives in Brazil, Canada, and Switzerland, aiming to deepen the political, academic, and institutional debate on planning more shared and bicycle-friendly cities. I began my academic journey in the Geography program at the State University of Ceará in 2002, becoming a professor at the same institution in 2009, shortly after completing my master's degree in Geography at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC).
