She is a doctoral student in the Interunit Postgraduate Program in Bioinformatics at USP and did a doctoral internship at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France. She also has a master's degree in Biotechnology (USP / Instituto Butantan / IPT) and a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (UFSCar-Sorocaba). In her doctorate, she studies diversity and evolution of RNA viruses at the interface of vertical transmission in Brazilian chiropterans, involving metatranscriptomics and bioinformatics methods. She is interested in diversity and evolution studies of zoonotic pathogens and small mammals based on genetic data and spatial data. She has experience in molecular biology and cytogenetics, as well as in software and programming languages for Bioinformatics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
