Maria Isabel Villac

Graduation in Architecture and Urbanism (1977) and specialization in Didactics of Higher Education (1991) by Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Professor at the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidade Estadual de Londrina from 1986 to 2002. PhD in Theory and History of Architecture at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (2002), with CAPES Scholarship. Post-Doctorate at Università IUAV di Venezia (2014), with assistance from FAPESP. Professor of the undergraduate course of Architecture since 2002 and, since 2006, is Researcher and Professor of the Postgraduate course in Architecture and Urbanism of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Member of the APCA - Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte -, Architecture group, since 2010. Editor of the magazine PPGAU Cadernos de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo in the period 2016-2018. Has professional experience in the area of Architecture and Urban Design. As a researcher, works mainly in the following subjects: architecture and city, architecture, city and culture, architecture and citizenship, art and architecture, architecture and city teaching, theory and design relationship, public space and use of public space.
