He was a consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), was a Visiting Researcher at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), Guest Researcher at the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS), was a Consultant at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC ), was a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), was a Consultant at the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE) and was a Visiting Researcher/Professor at Seoul National University (SNU) in South Korea (2021-2022).
