Degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG) 2003, MA and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He is currently manager and lead researcher in the field of optical technologies (photonics) Foundation's Center for Research and Development in Telecommunications (CPqD). He has participated in 14 projects in R & D, with 10 of them coordinated, has 5 patents (INPI), 14 articles in journals, 55 in proceedings of national and international conferences, and have transferred to 5 tech products industry. He has served leading research and developments in telecommunications, especially in topics related to high optical transmission velociadade (100Gb / s) and reconfigurable optical networks, among them, optical amplification, monitoring, ROADMs, GMPLS control plane, among others. Also has co-directing graduate students (UNICAMP, USP - São Carlos) on issues related to Reconfigurable Optical Networks. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
