Graduated in Physical Education from the Federal University of São Carlos-UFSCar (2005), specialization in Exercise Physiology from UFSCar (2007), Master's degree in Physiological Sciences from PIPGCF UFSCar/UNESP (2011) and PhD in Physiological Sciences from PIPGCF UFSCar/UNESP (2016). He did postdoctoral work at the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University, UK (2019). He was a visiting professor at the University of Verona, Italy (2022) and Radboud University, Netherlands (2023-2024). Since 2016 he is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Physiological Sciences at the Center for Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and coordinates the Laboratory of Cardiac Vascular Physiology (CardioVasc Lab), where he develops research in the area of evaluation of neurobehavioral, autonomic and cardiovascular functions. in health and disease. He also studies the effects of physical exercise in preventing and treating chronic and infectious diseases. He is an advisor at the Multicenter Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences (PPGMCF) and the Graduate Program in Neurosciences, both at UFSC. He is currently the Coordinator of the PPGMCF / UFSC, a member of the delegated collegiate of the PPG in Neurosciences, a member of the Postgraduate Chamber of the Center for Biological Sciences at UFSC, and an advisor of the Graduate Chamber of UFSC.
