Undergraduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of São Paulo (FCF-USP). has a broad expertise in clinical laboratories. Achieved the doctorate degree at the Department of Allergy and Immunopathology from School of Medicine/USP (FMUSP), with emphasis on autoimmunity and pathogenesis of rheumatic heart disease, using a proteomics approach in the investigation of alterations involved in the development/maintenance of valvar lesions. Has experience in proteomic methods, such as 2-D electrophoresis and mass spectrometry, as well as classical methods in Immunology, as blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy. He was a research fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Uses proteomics and peptidomics tools to evaluate minimal residual disease in plasma cell discrasias, such as multiple myeloma and lymphoma. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
