J.-P. Caron has a masters degree in musical composition in Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2007), masters in Philosophy in Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2011), and a PhD at the École doctorale "Pratiques et théories du sens"- at Université de Paris Vincennes Saint-Denis with a double titulation with the Universidade de São Paulo (2015). He is associate professor at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro since 2015. His usual themes of research are: philosophy of language, ontology, inferentialism and philosophy of music.
