Full professor at the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences of the University of São Paulo. Is an external scientific member of the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM, Bilbao) and member of the mathematical physics commission of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). Works in the domain of Mathematical Phsysics on the following subjects: contructive methods for interacting fermions, applications of operator algebra theory to quantum statistical mechanics, theory of superconductors, microscopic foundations of linear transport.
