Guilherme Cunha de Castro

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering - Emphasis in Aircraft from the University of São Paulo (2009). 18 years of experience, leader with experience in the development of products for the medical devices, equipment and life sciences sector, leading several projects. I started my career as an intern at the company OPTO Eletrônica S.A where I was a member of the team that developed a Yellow Laser for Ophthalmology in collaboration with Macquarie University (Sidney – Australia), member of the team that developed a Green Laser also for Ophthalmology and also participated in some projects for the Ophthalmological Market, such as a Retinograph and a UV Light for carrying out the Cellular Cross Linking technique. I worked on a project at AgriOS – Agricultural Optronics System which, in partnership with EMBRAPA, successfully developed a portable spectrophotometer for detecting Greening disease in Citrus plantations. Over the past 12 years I have dedicated myself to training and leading the R&D department at Razek Equipamentos LTDA, developing several products focused on minimally invasive surgery and also guiding studies in areas such as bioabsorbable materials (polymeric and metallic) and personalized implants.
