Since 2024, she has been a researcher at the Aging Biology Laboratory of the Institute of Biology at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where she studies the role of microRNAs and lipodystrophy in Alzheimers disease.She completed a postdoctoral fellowship (20182024) at the Neuroscience Laboratory of the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (USP), investigating the involvement of the purinergic system in animal behaviors related to Alzheimers disease and depression.She holds Master (2013) and Ph.D. (2017) degrees in Sciences from the Department of Pharmacology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School University of São Paulo. She also earned a Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Aarhus University (Denmark) through a double degree agreement.In her Masters research, she studied the role of the nitrergic system in mood and anxiety disorders, while her Ph.D. focused on the participation of the purinergic signaling in stress-induced behaviors and the effect of antidepressant drugs.She holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Alfenas (2010).
