Fellipe Saldanha Garcia

F. S. Garcia received the Electrical Engineering degree (2007) and the MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering (2010) from the University of Campinas, Brazil. He worked with Metso Minerals, Sorocaba, Brasil, designing electrical systems for companies in the mining industry. He was a visiting researcher at the Departament of Information Engineering of University of Padua, Italy. He is a co-founder of Ekion Electric Vehicles Technologies and KartFly Electric Racing, working with the development of new products. His interests include electric vehicles, renewable energy, and control systems. Mr. Garcia is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and of IEEE PELS (Power Electronics Society). He received the PSMA APEC Student Grant for presenting a paper at APEC 2009 and the PESC Travel Grant for presenting a paper at ECCE 2009.
