He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlandia (1982), a specialization in Industrial Electrical Systems from the Federal University of Uberlandia (1984), a Master's degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (1997), a PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (2005), in Global Navigation Satellite Systems and a post-doctoral with BPE-FAPESP at the University of Michigan (2015), where he participated, in collaboration with NASA-GRC (Glenn Research Center), in the development of a new scientific instrument to be matured and sent to Mars. He worked at the Federal University of Uberlandia as a development engineer, working on research and development projects with the Department of Electrical Engineering and on maintenance of electronic medical equipment at UFU School of Medicine Hospital (1983-1987). He is Senior Technologist III at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) where he has been working since 1987 until the present date (2023). He participated in vibration systems training in England (1991). He participated in the CBERS-1 satellite test campaign in China in 1997 and CBERS-3 in 2012. Interned at the EMI/EMC laboratory of Intespace-CNES (France, 1997). Participated in the Centennial Mission of the Brazilian Space Agency - AEB (Brazilian astronaut aboard the International Space Station operating Brazilian scientific experiments), during phases AT1 (Acceptance Tests) at LIT (2005-2006) and AT2 in Moscow (Mar/2006). He collaborated with technical support in the execution of the Project ?Expanding the Integration and Testing Laboratory LIT? of the National Institute for Space Research - INPE (PELIT Project), with financial support from FINEP. He completed a doctorate with participation in a research project at ITA, with a grant from the ICAO International Civil Aviation Organization (2000-2005). Participated in the FINEP project for the development of GPS pseudo satellites in the Department of Telecommunications of the Electronics and Computer Engineering Division of ITA (2005-2009). This project was a spin-off of his doctoral work. He was responsible for wiring the engineering (EM) and flight (FM) models of the Amazonia-1 Satellite at the Integration and Testing Laboratory (LIT) (2016-2020) and currently (2023) of the Amazonia-1B satellite. He was AIT manager for the Multi-Mission Platform Space Program (PMM)/Amazonia at LIT (2010-2014). Coordinated the Project AEB/MCTI/CNPq Public Notice 033/2010 from 2011 to 2015. Participated in qualification tests of the ACDH subsystem, composed of on-board computer (OBDH) and attitude and propulsion control (ACE & TCE) of the Amazonia-1 Satellite at INVAP (Argentina, 2012). He is responsible for LIT's electronic systems maintenance department. He is responsible for LIT's electronic systems development sector. He has been an ad hoc advisor to FAPESP since April 2010. He has experience in the areas of Aerospace Engineering and Electronic Engineering, with emphasis on satellites and aerospace devices, working mainly on the following subjects: space simulation tests, satellites, pseudo satellites, research and development in electronics, environmental tests, qualification tests, layout of printed circuits, manufacture of printed circuit boards, development of scientific instruments, use of EDA tools, electronic instrumentation, maintenance of electronic systems, space-qualified wire harness manufacturing according to NASA-STD-8739.4 and IPC-WHWA-Z-6208, GNSS, GBAS, GPS, FPFA, and AIT (Assembly, Integration and Testing).
