I graduated in Physics at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and made my PhD studies at IAG, São Paulo University (2009). I have been a postdoctoral fellow at the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics, NORDITA, in Sweden. Currently I am at Stanford University where I work as a postdoctoral scholar in the Solar Physics Group. My main topics of research involve the generation of cosmic magnetic fields through the dynamo mechanism. astrophysical plasmas, turbulent thermal convection and, specially, the theoretical and numerical study of the solar magnetic cycle.
