Graduated in Nursing from the Regional University of the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul (2000), specialization in Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing (Residence mode) by the Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, University of São Paulo (EERP-USP) (2003) , Masters in Public Health Nursing by EERP-USP (2005) and a PhD in Public Health Nursing by EERP-USP (2008). She is currently professor by the Maternal-Child Nursing and and Public Health Department at EERP-USP. Has experience in Nursing in Women's Health, with emphasis on the following topics: postpartum, breastfeeding, culture and care, complementary integrative practices, acupuncture. Member of the Research Group Nursing, Women and Health (GPEMS). Member of the Breastfeeding Center (NALMA) - Service Extension Group to Community USP. Tutor of Network Breastfeeding Brazil.
