Gustavo Higa holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2014) and a Master's Degree in the Postgraduate Program in Sociology at the University of São Paulo (2017). He is currently a PhD student in the Graduate Program in Sociology at the University of São Paulo and a fellow at the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). He is a researcher at the Center for the Study of Violence (NEV / USP). Develops research with emphasis in the area of Sociology of Violence, Punishment, Prisons and Human Rights.
