Holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Campinas (2013) and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology - Plant Genetics and Breeding from the University of Campinas (2019), conducted at the National Biosciences Laboratory (LNBio) of the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). During the PhD, worked on the development of transgenic sweet orange plants with increased resistance to Citrus Canker disease and biochemical and functional characterization of proteins related to plant resistance against phytopathogens. Completed a postdoctoral project at LNBio/CNPEM focusing on new molecules derived from natural products with antibacterial potential and affinity for penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at LNBio/CNPEM, where he is developing a research project aimed at the development of new drugs for unconventional protein targets against Trypanosoma cruzi, the parasite responsible for Chagas disease.
