B.Sc. in Physics from USP (1987), M.Sc. in Physical Oceanography from USP (1991) and Ph.D. in Meteorology from USP (1998). Experience in Physical Oceanography and Meteorology, focusing Atmosphere-Ocean Interaction; numerical modeling of atmosphere and ocean, at regional and large-scales; meteorological influences over the ocean with emphasis in continental shelves and coastal regions; extreme marine events. Administrative experience: Responsible for Technical Section of Meteorological Services of IAG/USP from August 2001 to August 2005 and from December 2012 to November 2016; Head of Department of Atmospheric Sciences of IAG/USP from September 2005 to August 2007; President of National and International Cooperation Committee from September 2012 to August 2016; Coordinator of the Graduate Program on Meteorology of IAG/USP from October 2016 to May 2021. Since June 2021, is the President of Undergraduate Committee of IAG/USP, and since October 2024 is a member of Expert Team on Waves, Coastal Hazards and Marine Emergency Response of World Meteorological Organization.
