PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) of the University of São Paulo (USP). He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from EESC-USP. He completed his postdoctoral studies at the Center for Energy and Petroleum Studies (CEPETRO) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Karlstuhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. He works in the area of simulating thermal and fluid systems with the lattice Boltzmann method.
