Thiago Dias

CV Lattes

Birthplace: Brazil

Thiago Dias completed his Bachelor's degree in Physics at UFSCar in 2002. He completed his Master's degree in Materials Engineering in 2005 and his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering in 2009, both from UFSCar. He has experience in processing ceramic materials and electrical properties of materials, with an emphasis on materials for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). He worked in the area of bioceramics for ceramic implants for dentistry with a SET-RHAE (CNPq) grant from 09/2009 to 04/2011. Worked in the area of materials, quality and regulations at an orthopedic implant manufacturer from 11/2011 to 03/2014. In 2014, he was responsible researcher for the PIPE FAPESP project at the spinoff company SpinNano Semiconductors, in the area of varistors for protection systems against electrical surges. In 2015, he entered his academic career as a professor of engineering courses. In 2019, it acquired Black Belt certifications in Lean Six Sigma. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a researcher in research on sodium ion supercapacitors in a partnership between the company Nanum Nanotecnologia and IQ-UNESP in Araraquara. In 2023, he joined the Advanced Energy Storage Division (AES CINE Unicamp) to work on the construction and testing of SOFC fuel cells powered by pure hydrogen, or from ethanol or biomethane reformers, in projects financed with public and private resources . The main techniques used in his work are: processing of ceramic materials, tape casting, screen printing, airbrushing, spin coating, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy. In his Lattes curriculum, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific and technological production are: ceramic materials, electronic ceramics, semiconductors, fuel cell, SOFC, SnO2 varistors, sodium ion hybrid supercapacitors.
