Holds a degree in Biological Sciences (2004) from the State University of Maringá (UEM), a Masters degree (2008), and a PhD (2012) in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (IBB/UNESP), Botucatu Campus. From 2010 to 2012, he was a professor at Faculdade Eduvale de Avaré, teaching courses in Agronomy and Biological Sciences. He is currently an Associate Professor III at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Araras Campus. From March 2014 to October 2015, he was the Coordinator of the Agronomic Engineering program. From November 2015 to November 2019, he served as Vice-Director of the Center for Agricultural Sciences (CCA), and since November 2019, he has been the Director of CCA. He coordinates GEPEG the Study and Research Group in General Entomology. He is a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Agriculture and Environment (PPGAA/UFSCar) and the Graduate Program in Wildlife Conservation (PPGCFau/UFSCar). He is a member of the Entomological Society of Brazil (SEB) and the Neotropical Regional Section (NRS) of the International Organization for Biological Control (IOBC). His research focuses on Entomology, with an emphasis on the bioecology and management of insect pests, particularly leaf-cutting ants, as well as the use of arthropods as bioindicators.
