Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Emphasis in Electronic Systems from the University of São Paulo and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of São Paulo. In his research, he primarily focused on the following topics: isolated cardiac myocyte, animal model of diabetes mellitus, and contractility measurement in isolated cardiac myocytes. He founded Tovem Biotech, a deep tech company, and served as the principal investigator in an innovative research project supported by the PIPE FAPESP program. Currently, he is a professor in the engineering program, teaching early-year courses such as calculus, fluid mechanics, physics, and statistics, and conducts research activities in the bioengineering area at the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IMREA-HCFMUSP), working on projects involving microcontrollers, 3D printing and CAD/CAM modeling.
