Caroline Torricelli Corrêa

Graduated in Biomedicine from the Hermínio Ometto Foundation (FHO-UNIARARAS), with a specialization in Molecular Biology and Clinical Pathology (Clinical Analysis). Master of Science in Internal Medicine from the Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I am currently pursuing my PhD. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in scientific initiation projects and was awarded a sandwich undergraduate scholarship (CNPq) by the Science without Borders program at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. After graduation, I received a Technical Training Scholarship - Level 3 (TT3) from FAPESP, working at the Laboratory of Cancer Molecular Genetics (GEMOCA) at UNICAMP, in the areas of Molecular Biology, Clinical Oncology and Thyroid Cancer. During my master's degree, as a CAPES scholarship holder, I developed research at the Laboratory of Cancer Genetics (LAGECA) at UNICAMP, focusing on Molecular Biology, Clinical Oncology, Melanoma and Head and Neck Cancer. Over the years, I have acquired extensive experience in scientific research and in Molecular Biology techniques, Western Blotting, cloning and cell culture. After my master's degree, I worked as a Laboratory Analyst/ Medical Technologist (MI, USA) in the departments of Toxicology, Biochemistry, Hematology, Molecular Biology and Microbiology, performing laboratory tests, sample analyses, equipment calibration and internal quality control. Currently, during my doctorate, I collaborate with the clinical research arm in Nuclear Medicine of the CancerThera project, supported by CEPID/FAPESP, which is focused on the development of new applications of radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of various neoplasms.
