Professor in the Division of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the Department of Internal Medicine of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP). He holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (2000), and completed medical residencies in Internal Medicine (2003) and Infectious Diseases (2006) at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMRP-USP. He earned a PhD in Medicine from FMRP-USP in 2011. From 2007 to 2013, he served as an assistant physician in the Division of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMRP-USP.Currently, he is the Coordinator of the Professional Masters Program in Health Organizations Management at FMRP-USP, the Coordinator of the Infectious Diseases Medical Residency Program at HCFMRP-USP, and the Head of the Department of Diagnostic Medicine at HCFMRP-USP. As a researcher, his main areas of expertise are Infectious and Tropical Diseases, with a focus on viral hepatitis, HIV infection, and microbiology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
