Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sydney, Australia, in citizen science and science education. I focus on the use of citizen science as a tool for entomological surveillance. Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney in science communication. I completed my PhD in Health Sciences at the University of South Australia (UniSA) in 2022. My project involved using citizen science as an approach to improve entomological surveillance, focusing on mosquito-borne diseases prevention. I have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2012) and a master's degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2016). I am co-founder of the non-governmental organization Ferox australis which aims to make science and biodiversity research more accessible and understandable through citizen science. I have experience in citizen science, public health, entomological and epidemiological surveillance, vector ecology and time series of infectious diseases.
