Kalyl holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (20112017) and a Master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering and Sanitation (20182020) from the University of São Paulo (São Carlos, SP, Brazil). He also participated as a special visiting student at Lakehead University (Thunder Bay, ON, Canada) from 2015 to 2016. Since 2021, he has been actively working in the regulation and inspection of mining dam safety.
