Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto Oceanográfico (IO)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelors degree and a teaching certification in Marine Biology from São Paulo State University (UNESP), a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), and a Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography from the University of São Paulo (USP). From 2013 to 2017, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at USP funded by FAPESP under the BIOTA-Araçá project. In 2017, I served as a postdoctoral researcher and consultant for ICMBio in Brasília on the GEF/Mar Marine Biodiversity Monitoring project. Additionally, I volunteered as a professor at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES) in 2016. Since 2017, I have been a full-time faculty member at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará, Campus Marabá Industrial. There, I served as Director of Research, Extension, Graduate Studies and Technological Innovation (20172018), Head of the Department of Research, Graduate Studies and Technological Innovation (2018present), and President of the Research and Extension Committee (20192023). From 2021 to 2022, I completed a second postdoctoral fellowship at UFPR, where I investigated the use of historical ecological data to identify seasonal patterns in fauna. I teach across multiple levels: integrated vocational high school (Biology I, II, III), undergraduate programs (Ecology, Biodiversity, Applied Ecology, Biological Oceanography, Zoology, and Degraded Area Restoration), and graduate courses (Applied Linear Models in Ecology, Ecological Statistics, and Biostatistics). My research focuses on Ecology and Environmental Monitoring, particularly using fish as model organisms. I have extensive expertise in quantitative ecological analysisespecially linear and multivariate statistical modeling in Ras well as in designing and implementing monitoring protocols, environmental impact assessments, taxonomic identification guides, trophic ecology, fish natural history in forest ecosystems, and historical ecology involving traditional communities. To date, I have published 27 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and contributed chapters to edited volumes, in addition to preparing technical reports for government agencies and private-sector clients. I also bring a strong background in public administration, administrative law, committee leadership, and drafting technical cooperation agreements, contracts, resolutions, and normative instructions. In 2023, I chaired the Central Electoral Commission at IFPA. According to my Google Scholar profile (as of May2025), I have over [updated citation count] citations, with an h-index of [updated h-index] and an i10-index of [updated i10-index].
