Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Biological Sciences (Bachelors degree) from the State University of Southwest Bahia (UESB, Itapetinga Campus). He was a volunteer fellow in the UESB Scientific Initiation Program (2010-2011) and in PIBIC/CNPq (2011-2012/2012-2013). He holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where he was a member of the Plant Genetics Laboratory (LAGEP) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michel Georges Albert Vincentz. During his doctoral studies, he was a fellow of the São Paulo Research Foundation (2015-2019). He carried out postdoctoral research at LAGEP/CBMEG/UNICAMP from 2020 to 2023 (FAPESP: 2019/25696-4). He also worked as a Biotechnology Researcher in the Molecular Characterization sector at Sempre AgTech/Win (2023-2025).He has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on plant molecular genetics, focusing mainly on the following topics: gene expression control in hormonal signaling pathways, molecular physiology of responses to energy stress and the circadian clock, development and application of molecular markers, as well as genetic diversity analyses. He is currently a Biotechnology Researcher at Sakata Seed Sudamerica, working on the development of new molecular markers and molecular strategies applied to the genetic improvement of different vegetable crops.
