She holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), a master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP). She completed his postdoctorate at the Colorado School of Mines (USA) in 2016. She worked in national steel and mining companies (Companhia Siderúrgica de Tubarão-CST, Aperam South America, and Companhia Vale do Rio Doce-Vale) in various sectors, with an emphasis on the import/export of raw materials. She was a process development engineer at Embraer and a QOCON Lieutenant Engineer of the Brazilian Air Force between 2008 and 2015. She received the IV Marechal-do#8208;Ar Casimiro Montenegro Filho Award in 2013. Since 2019, she has been an assistant professor of higher education at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), where she has developed research into materials and processes for aerospace engineering, in particular, the surface modification of materials for extreme environments, mechanical forming, material selection, additive manufacturing, and welding. Currently, she is the head of the UFES Welding Laboratory, coordinator of the Materials Characterization Laboratory, and professor responsible for the AVES project, competing at SAE Aerodesign.
