Researcher PQ2, has a degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2009), a master's degree (2009-2011) and a doctorate (2011-2014) in Biological Sciences: Toxicological Biochemistry, from the Federal University of Santa Maria, having completed part of the doctorate ( 2013) at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. Also, held the position of postdoc (FAPESP scholarship holder - 2014-2016) at the Department of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto of the University of São Paulo. She currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor C/III at the Biotechnology Institute of the Federal University of Uberlândia, MG, where she is a master's and doctoral advisor professor and member of the board of the Postgraduate Program in Genetics and Biochemistry. Was a member of the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals for the institution's research in the period 2018-2020. She consulted for Gold Flex Life Sciences, from 2018 to 2022, assisting in research into new drugs for the treatment of joint diseases. Since 2019, she has maintained a partnership with the Dental Surgeon and Researcher Dr. Eduardo Januzzi, with whom she works on studies on orofacial pain in murine and human subjects. Actually, works mainly on the following topics: orofacial pain, molecular mechanisms of pain, anxious and depressive-type behaviors associated with pain and stress, study of the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of natural products and chemically synthesized molecules.
