He completed his undergraduate course in Biological Sciences at Santa Úrsula University. He entered as an intern (scientific initiation) in the ornithology sector of the National Museum / UFRJ where he developed his monograph on taxonomy. Still in this institution, attending a postgraduate degree in Zoology, he also completed his Masters in Taxonomy and developed his PhD with molecular systematics and taxonomy. Post-doctorate at the University of São Paulo. He collaborates in the curatorial and in several projects that are being developed in the sector of ornithology of the National Museum and in the Laboratory of Genetics and Evolutionary Biology of Birds (LGEMA). He has experience in the area of Zoology, with emphasis on Ornithology, working mainly on the following topics: Taxonomy, Molecular systematics, morphological and vocal variation in Birds, evolution and conservation.
