Luiz Sobral Fernandes holds a Master's degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of São Paulo and was a Visiting Researcher at the Sanduíche Period at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. He holds a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Mackenzie, a degree in Urban Planning from University College London at the University of London and a graduate degree in Geography from the University of São Paulo. During the graduation period, he carried out Scientific Initiation financed by FAPESP and currently receives a Masters Capes scholarship. He was a collaborator in Architecture and Urbanism offices in Brazil and abroad, among them Triptyque, and in 2011 he held an internship in the United Arab Emirates in a program linked to the University of Sharjah. Participating in competitions, he received Highlight at the IX Architecture Biennial of São Paulo, 3rd place in the Rio de Janeiro Perimeter Competition and Honorable Mention at the Mackenzie Project Award. His works were exhibited at the IX Biennial of Architecture of São Paulo and at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, still as undergraduate student. He is currently interested in architecture and History and Historiography of Modern Architecture projects in Brazil, mainly through non-hegemonic looks. Contact: Office: (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
