Biologist, PhD and Master in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil), with a stay at the University of Malaga (UMA, Spain). Developed research in the area of phycology, with emphasis on the chemical potential (antioxidants, carbohydrates, phenolics, pigments, lipids...) and bioactive potential (anti-HIV, anticancer, cytotoxic and photoprotective) of natural extracts of macroalgae.
