Marine biologist graduated from UNESP, with a Masters and Ph.D. in Aquaculture from the Aquaculture Center of UNESP (CAUNESP). Her research focuses on the sustainability of seaweed farming, with emphasis on bioeconomy, environmental accounting, and ecosystem services. She participated in the European project Aquavitae (EU project 818173), during which she conducted a sandwich Ph.D. at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR), in Portugal, working in the Coastal Biodiversity Laboratory with a focus on macroalgae cultivation and environmental assessment. She has authored scientific articles published in leading international journals in aquaculture and environmental economics, as well as book chapters and science outreach materials. She serves as a reviewer for the journal Aquaculture Reports and collaborates on outreach and innovation projects aimed at sustainable aquaculture. She is the founder of the impact-driven deep tech BlueC, dedicated to promoting marine sociobiodiversity through the sustainable cultivation of native macroalgae, where she has led research, development, technology, and innovation projects within the blue economy. Her areas of interest include integrated multitrophic aquaculture, marine macroalgae farming, bioeconomy, sustainability indicators, and impact-driven businesses. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
