Giordana Carvalho is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP). She studied at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) for a year, obtaining a certificate in Social Sciences and Humanities with a focus on gender studies and international policies. She was a member of the Center for the Studies of Violence (NEV / USP) as a scientific initiation fellow, analyzing the intersection of violence, democracy and human rights. She joined the 62nd Commission on the Status of Women in New York (CSW NGO) as a Brazilian delegate for the Global Attitude institution. She participated in the 23rd International Symposium on Scientific Initiation and Technological Innovation of USP, presenting the project: Building democracy daily: human rights, violence and institutional trust. Currently she elaborates another scientific initiation that investigates social movements linked to the rupture of the Fundão dam in Minas Gerais - project linked to the Center of Democracy and Collective Action in CEBRAP. She is also an editoral board member of Primeiros Estudos, a social science journal developed by USP's students. She holds a C1 level certificate in English (TOEFL) and in French (DALF).
